Healthy Foods For Children




Parents are traditionally the first teachers of children. Children could learn a lot from their parents including behavioural patterns and healthy lifestyles. That's why every parent has to project positive attitudes and behaviours for them to emulate.

Parents has the greatest influence on children's life. They could be influenced into liking and eating fruits, vegetables and all foods that are healthy and good for body building and development.

Research has it that children consumption of vegetables, fruits and foods increased after observing their parents or adults consume these foods.

It is your responsibility as a parent to select healthy foods, inculcate it in daily family meals and encourage them to eat. If they are indifferent to some of these foods needed for their growth and development you pressure them to have the healthy diet.

Foods that are very rich and contains important nutrients such as proteins, vitamins, iron, minerals and water should be integrated into daily meals. Always encourage your children to take fruits juice instead of sugary drinks and fruits in place of junks.


Foods and Vegetables like Fish, Eggs, oatmeal, Milk, Beans, Spinach, Cucumbers, Cabbage, Tomatoes, honey and fiber rich foods are quite essential for brain and memory development in a growing child. Fruits like berries, carrots, avocados, apples, watermelon, Bananas etc. are very nutritive for the body development. You must know that, at this stage of development, your child's diet will play a vital role in nurturing his or her intelligence, so make sure you provide all that is needed for this developmental process.

Parents must make food choices for their children to help them build strong immune system. Especially for the children who are picky!

What your kids eat today, their diet will go a long way in developing their mental and physical capabilities.
